About Craig Deken, PhD,HSPP
Dr. Deken is a psychologist that has specialized in behavioral medicine and health psychology throughout his studies and professional career. He has trained in various interdisciplinary medical settings that treat conditions such as chronic pain, cancer, spinal cord injuries, HIV/AIDS, and primary care. Dr. Deken’s work in integrated primary care included treatments for depression, anxiety, trauma, tinnitus, and sleep related disorders.
As part of the Center for Pain Management Team, Dr. Deken collaborates with patients and their medical teams to complete pre-surgical evaluations for spinal cord stimulators, engage in individual and group psychological treatments to enhance quality of life while living with pain, and train doctoral students from nearby universities. Dr. Deken has also worked as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Indianapolis teaching courses in health psychology.
