About Dr. Dorwart

Dr. Michael R. Dorwart joined the Center for Pain Management in 2024 with an extensive background in pain medicine, specializing in advanced pain therapies. With a focus on improving patient outcomes through innovative treatments, Dr. Dorwart is committed to enhancing the quality of life for individuals suffering from chronic pain.

Dr. Dorwart received his Doctorate from Indiana University School of Medicine in 2006, following a Master of Science in Microbiology from Purdue University and a Bachelor of Science in Cell Biology/Biochemistry from Bucknell University. He completed his fellowship in Pain Medicine at the Indiana University Department of Anesthesiology, where he also completed his residency in Neurology. His previous experience includes serving as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Anesthesia at the Indiana University Pain Medicine Center.

In conjunction with the support services available at Center for Pain, Dr. Dorwart is committed to restoring patients to their best possible function while reducing the side effects of traditional treatments. By employing a comprehensive approach to pain management, he strives to help patients regain control of their lives and achieve long-term well-being.
