About Shelle Schumacher, PA-C
Shelle joined Center for Pain Management in 2025 and currently sees patients at our Lafayette location. Shelle is a dedicated and experienced Certified Physician Associate with a strong background in primary care and pain management. She is passionate about providing comprehensive, patient-centered care and is committed to improving the quality of life for those dealing with acute and chronic pain.
Shelle earned her Master of Science in Physician Associate Studies from St. Ambrose University, where she completed extensive clinical training across multiple specialties, including family medicine, orthopedics, psychiatry, cardiology, and neurology. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from Liberty University.
With a deep understanding of multimodal and interdisciplinary approaches to pain management, Shelle has experience in a range of advanced treatments, including ultrasound-guided injections, intrathecal pump refills, caudal epidural steroid injections, and peripheral nerve blocks. She is also trained in platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy and has contributed to patient education initiatives through local health publications.
Beyond her clinical work, Shelle has a strong commitment to community service, having volunteered in school physical programs for underserved children, participated in medical mission trips, and served in leadership roles for various healthcare initiatives.
When she’s not providing exceptional patient care, Shelle enjoys mentoring healthcare professionals, organizing community events, and staying engaged with her local church and volunteer organizations.
